About Gas Access - Fees and Charges by the ERA

The Gas Pipelines Access Law, as applied in Western Australia, intends that all costs of regulating access to gas pipelines be recovered. As provided for by section 61 of the Economic Regulation Authority Act 2003, all direct and indirect costs associated with the provision of regulatory services are recovered directly from applicants.

The legislation also provides for the Western Australian Gas Review Board to fix and determine the incidence of liability for the cost and expenses of any hearing or determination of proceedings before it.

While the downloading of documents from the Authority's web site will be free of any direct charge, hard copies of documents including public submissions will attract a charge commensurate with the cost of providing copies of such documents.
