Wholesale Electricity Market Surveillance - Notification Process

The Wholesale Market Rules make provision for Rule Participants in the WEM to notify the Authority of any behaviour that they consider reduces the effectiveness of the market.

A Rule Participant may notify the Authority if it becomes aware of behaviour that reduces the effectiveness of the market and therefore does not contribute to the achievement of the Wholesale Market Objectives.

Any notification should include the following information:

Date of notification
Party making the notification
The identity of the Party whom the notification is made against
Description of the behaviour and how it reduces the effectiveness of the Wholesale Electricity Market
Date and timing of behaviour observed (if applicable)
Any other relevant information
